In my opinion, knowing that they have released it in America (Not yet of course), it wouldn't make any sense not to release it in Europe, I mean, there are plenty of companies who do shmups and release it in Europe; Warashi, Psykiyo, Natsume, Taito, XS Games, Play it Games and I think thid would be a grand oppertunity for EU players to finally enjoy more great games, but its only a slim chance that it would happen, so send messages!

Me too, joined this forum only to post this message.

I am a player from Asia, owning a NTSC/J Xbox360. Although I have already finished the JAP version of DS, I am still interested in buying a English version, especially when the Black Label content is delivered on disc.

And some players here are interested in the goodies included in the US limited edition.

If the US version can be played on a NTSC/J console, I think you can sell at least a few more copies here.

Hope Aksys can confirm the NTSC/J-console-compatibility and I will go preorder right away.

That's unclear. Did you mean that it will be playable on Japanese, Korean, and Asian model 360s, or just Asian model 360s?

If this went region free or PAL playable my bro and I will definitely buy copies and m sure i have a few mates who are also keen. I am really wanting to play this game and been youtubing it too much!

i'm french too!! But from Montreal, Quebec!

actually DeathSmiles IIX is region-locked, sadly. But maybe that mean they had an agreement with Aksys so they are going to release this game here? i don't know...

But yes, i do hope the US version of DeathSmiles will be region-free. Because all games should be region-free, even if i don't understand Japanese, i would like to play those games that are never officially released outside Japan, because they're simply stupid enough (for stupid developers, see Sega) to NOT bring those games here.

I'm glad we still have intelligent companies in North America such as Aksys, Atlus USA, NIS America...but some should improve with voice-overs and GIVING the choice if Japanese or English voices in games like that...how many times i wanted Japanese voices with english subtitles in a Final Fantasy games...

He's an Aksys employee.

As for whether it will work, there is actually no "Asian" 360. They are imported from other regions. It should work. I think.

Well I assume that whoever responded to my email was also an employee of Aksys.

Also there is an Asian system. It is sold in Korea and China as well as some other Asian countries. It uses a 240v power supply which is the same as the UK. It is also compatible with 99% of Japanese encoded games. I think its only about 5 that don't work.
And of course it works with all Chinese and Korean games. However it is not the same as the Japanese system.

Such a shame this is going to be limited to the US xbox only. I mean I have the Japanese version but to be able to play in English would have been pretty cool.

Very disappointed on Aksys.
As much as I love DeathSmiles, it's not worth buying a new console over for.

always the same pb with the game location.
DS aksysgame version appear to be xbox us only.
Only shmup community can stay unit..........
So players enjoy or wait......
and producers .......

Hi, another UK/PAL 360 owner here, bitterly disappointed I will not be able to even import the game let alone buy it 'at home'.

I splashed out over £100 to buy the other two region-free games that were released not too long ago. This after a year of not paying over £15 for any of my 40+ games bar the COD's I own. I just find Cave games addictive like no other titles I own.

By the look of the version you are putting out I would have went the full mile and bought the limited/collector's edition.

Agarest War isn't available in Quebec if you didn't pre-order it
Fragile Dreams was the same thing (Available only if you pre-order it, after that it's online shopping...)
And a bunch of others that aren't translate in french...

Sorry, I guess I mis-spoke there a little. I should have said "North America", not "US". No disrespect toward Canada intended. The US and Canada use the same region coding, so anything that will play on the consoles in one will play on the other. I've also confirmed that we are shipping copies of Deathsmiles to Canadian retailers, so it will be available for you to buy. Of course, it couldn't hurt to pre-order it anyway. ;)

Uh Agarest War and Fragile dreams ARE in quebec, I don't even need to pre-order them and I've got them already, except for fragile but anyways, it doesn't have to be french, practically all the games I see there are like 99% english and 80% have both english and french in-game options.
