   Jumbocock: Can I Really Be the Hero?

   Just thought I'd reiterate the fact that this game has more replay value and depth than most other Strategy RPG's I've ever played... With that said, it is one of the more enigmatic games ever released. A lot of time has passed since it's Japanese release and it is still baffling gamers over there (a testament to it's mystery). The Japanese wiki is still active, and here is the newer English one:

   Not sure if Aksys is considering a strategy guide, but I'd encourage everyone who has time to do so, play it at least twice. The first playthrough, don't read any strategies or faqs, play on easy or normal (or hard if you primarily enjoy Strat games) and choose the answers and brides that seem like a natural fit for your personality. The second, read as much as possible what others have written, try to unlock all the hidden gems, play for the true ending, chose answers that get you the offspring and weapons for them that you want. Yet it sure would be nice for a deep strategy guide!!!

   hey i noticed on the main page that there are listings for a 4th and 5th generation with no pages for it, i thought the game was limited to 3rd generation?

   For obvious reasons, the end of the 5th generation is a fairly definitive ending, although there are choices you can make to influence exactly what that ending is. The fourth generation lets you choose a wife, produce a baby, etc, just like the other generations.

   I´d like a strategy guide with pretty illustrations in a .pdf file available for grabs after buing the PS3 version... After all, we're not getting the Really Naughty Limited Edition...

   Oh... right... Excuse me if this has been answered before (surely), but what's gonna be the pricing of Agarest again? I think I'm getting senile already... And I haven't even hit 30...

   Little edit:

   I just watched the trailers on the official site... I had not seen them, because I was browsing it from my PSP, and as you may know, the PSP does not play videos from Youtube... I just watched them and cracked up laughing. Awesome humor!!

   At first, I was gonna pass this over, given that I was less than impressed by this producer's last offering.

    Just a little warning to players, the battles can get really stale later in the game, since the battle system doesn't change much. It's a good game, nevertheless.

    as someone with 3 saves files in disgaea totaling 784hours (278, 314,192)i dont think any srpg could get stale for me after 2/3's of a game ^^.

    Wow, I just remember how I've maxed out the playtime in every real Pokemon game until Emerald... :P Anyways, Agarest looks great and I hope to enjoy making my way through all the 5 generations. When I get into an RPG, I really get into it! :D

    Looking forward to this game, and a return to generational RPGing. I still have fond memories of Phantasy Star 3, and was rather surprised that it took so long for another game to pick up the concept of multi generations in an RPG.

    Yes, yes. I remember how astounding that was when I got to the next generation in Phantasy Star 3. I'm really intrigued at the idea of having another game with multi-generations. I can't wait to see how my fifth generation turns out.
