Is anyone from Aksys interested in getting the rights to the prequel? I just found out Compile Heart is looking for a publisher and distributor for North America. I hope you guys pick it up and I'm waiting eagerly for Record of Agarest War to come out.

SCEA is more scared than anyone, if aksys gets good sells with agarest wars, im sure they will be less strict on bringin "new kind" of games to the west, and im sure aksys could consider it if they get good sales of agarest as well, so all we can do now is wait, and once the game is out, do what we have to as customers, if u know what i mean =)

SCEA does not do any visual novel style games since it seems they dont sell well here... and maybe they took agarest wars for a battle with visual novel stuff so they didnt wanted to risk making cds for the ps3, but thanks to aksys we are at least getting it in DLC (this is just my assumption btw).
Still, Guilty year is not for ps3, so it cant scream. Yakuza is an action game, and we've seen the reactions it gives on the web, meaning it will surely give some nice sales.

MemberI think a 360 port would increase the chance of localization. If they have to do a digital only release, I don't see it happening. I have both a 360 and PS3 and I will NEVER buy a digital only release. NEVER. I have limited hard drive space but, more importantly, I want something to show for my $. Not just virtual property. I'll buy the 360 version of Agarest 1 and hope a 360 port comes out in Japan under the 're-appearance' moniker like the first did. Then, Aksys could port that.
Unless they get the ability to make it a hardcopy, I'll never buy. Nothing against Aksys, if that's the best they can do, but that's not for me. I have to think that there's no way digital sales for a full game like this can reach the sales a hard copy would have, so it's an uphill battle for Aksys on PS3 right now. Doable, but NOBODY's preference. Sony's always been dinks like that. Microsoft is a lot more logical as a console developer.
