Woah woah woah guys, calm down.
Everyone knows SFIV is thebestworst game ever. Capcom really pulled one over on us with that game. I can't believe they had the balls to re-release it with new content worthy of a sequel, those bastards!
Everyone knows that BlazBlue is the best fighting game ever. God himself couldn't craft a superior masterpiece - and in this world where nobody can afford to buy two games at the same time, and nobody has enough free time to alternate between them both - we all know the choice we have to make: buy BlazBlue andask your mom to buy you SSFIVforget about SSFIV. It's a piece of -your mother is a classy lady- game that nobody should buy.I work at my local Gamestop, and sometimes I steal copies of SFIV and give them out to kids for free since nobody should have to spend money of that piece of -your mother is a classy lady-. I'm doing the world a favor. I would do the same with BlazBlue, but since it's so awesome I always charge people double for it. They think the "Limited Edition" is actually $120! What idiots!
...In retrospect, charging double for one game and giving the other away for free seems to cancel out how much money we're taking in...
Well, guys, I'm gonna go get my GIGANTIC TAGER on and kick some Nu ass [lie], then
practice some SFIV in preparation for SSFIVplay some Naruto Clash of Ninja Revolution 3. It has WiFi, man! That's better than XBL or PSN can ever be.Posted 1 year ago # -
I'm also curious if there's a bonus, but I doubt it. If they had been planning one, I'm sure they'd have announced one by now.
Another thing I'm curious about, and even asked a few months back, is if DLC from Calamity Trigger will be usable in Continuum Shift. Again, I doubt that it will.Posted 1 year ago # -

Want proof that Super is just a sick money grab like everything Capcom does now (save remixes)? Two words: DOJO EDITION. Look it up. Taking an alleged "value title," making it double price, still charging to unlock "DLC" that's already on the disc. They are jerks. Period.

It's not like the whole DOJO Edition is necesary to enjoy the game. Just a bunch of extra pointless stuff like t-shirts and bags and -your mother is a classy lady-. (Pretty lame if you ask me) Pretty sure the normal Limited Edition (Not the Dojo Edition) will be coming with some of the DLC costumes, but not all.
DLC isn't needed to enjoy a game either. Especially if it's just costumes. I haven't bought any of the BB colors and I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything.
As for dlc being on the disc, so what? A lot of developers do that. Happens all the time. Doesn't make DLC that's patched in later any less of a money grab.
It seems like your main beef with SF4 is that you don't like the gameplay and it lacks story. Well, not every game's going to be everyone's cup of tea, and fighting games have never been known for their story, either. Blazblue probably has the most story of any fighting series ever in the first game alone, but it's not necesary in order to enjoy the actual fighting portion of the game.Posted 1 year ago # -
KOF also has an amazing story. Well, not amazing, but good. And I consider charging for something already on the disc STEALING something I purchased. Therefore, I believe it is completely immoral and evil. Look at -your mother is a classy lady- Mega Man 10! They took out Bass! To make us pay extra! If you're gonna strip -your mother is a classy lady- out of the game, just charge more for that mofo instead and give us the--I don't normally approve of this phrasing, but--unraeped version of the game.
As for the Dojo Edition, it pisses me off for three reasons.
1. I want the most collectable version of anything I buy. So I'd want this thing. Except...
2. It's absurdly ****ing expensive. The original's Limited Edition was my first disc-based PS3 game, and was arguably worth it. $20 more for an awesome Ryu figurine, decent Soundtrack, and great Blu-ray movie that compensates for the crushing lack of story. And some of the fake DLC.
3. RAW GREED. Even if you buy it, you STILL get to pay for -your mother is a classy lady- that's already on the disc!!! And the ****ing price point!! Where do they get off!? It's sheer dishonesty. They promised us a value title and gave us a royal buttfrakking.Honestly, since it has a preorder bonus that sounds nifty, what appears to be semi-loli Makoto (could easily be wrong), and Hakan, who is an ideal man because he has a bunch of adorable little daughters like I want to have one day, I was ready to give it a chance. However, with my mysterious PSN suspension and the announcement of Dojo Edition, I just don't know anymore, man!

Strange how this turned from a discussion of whether there would be a bonus for previous BB owners to whether or not Capcom was trying to gouge us. >.>
Anyway, if you don't want to pay extra for the stuff, don't buy it. Here's the way I look at it: When they make this type of DLC (costumes), they release a patch that puts that data into the game for everyone, whether they've purchased it or not. That way people who DON'T buy the DLC can play against people who DID. Whether these costumes come on the disc or are added later, you're paying for a code to unlock something that's already in the game data.
If you feel like you NEED to have all the extras that come with the limited editions, then hey, it's your money. Not everyone's going to pull an aksys and release the special edition for the same price as the regular edition.
When Super SF4 comes out on my birthday, I'll be completely happy playing the budget priced normal version without all the extra costumes.Posted 1 year ago # -
You just straw-manned me. D:
Happy mother****ing birthday, chump. :P
(Although even Street Fail IV is far better than the NOTHING I got for my 1X birthday last year...)
If they add Turbo and fix guarding, by the way, or if Hakan's kids show up a lot, it might be passable. But BlazBlue still kicks the **** out of it. ;D

It sounds absolutely awesome! It even comes with a little super deformed Nendroid figure of Noel, as well as an art book.

I hope it's a better artbook than the one that came with the BBCT Limited Edition. It wasn't BAD, but not GREAT. I'd actually have been happier with it if they had included art from the gallery mode in the game.

The game is supposed to be faster than SF4 and more offensive oriented. The Focus Attacks are supposed to be quicker and more useful for turning a match around.
And I'm not going to lie, I like SF4 but prefer BB. They both have their own appeal. This whole argument over whether or not BlazBlue is better than SF4 or vice versa is stupid, as a fan of either series would be able to make a convincing argument for their respective game. Let's just let it drop.spyrle said:

Though the addition of the tutorial mode probably bypasses the need for the tutorial dvd, I suppose.Posted 1 year ago # -
The "artbook" was bad. Not terrible, but bad.
And nobody can make a convincing argument that SFIV is--never mind, I just thought of the one and only decent one.
So they sped up IV and made Focus better? The former is great, the latter is terible. Making it more offensive is also good.
