Wooow... I can say, for one thing, that manual is LOADS better than the one in the European version.
Oh I see that in the manual it has VIT listed as a mod on HP Growth. According to Gamfaqs forums you have people there saying that it doesn't influence growth. I also didn't see any noticeable change myself when adding vit. I just stacked on STR and some AGI for melee and INT and some AGI for mages.

VIT is necessary later on, because enemies will be one-shotting you otherwise.

Well, that is if they can live long enough to not get one-shotted by me. So far everything has been on a consistent basis once I figured out how to "break and rape" regularly~ But yes, I know its important but I'm sure I can make that up in items for defense.

Since we're talking technique, I have a few things to add. I use VIT usually for my melee fighters. I usually have a team that has 3 magic users, and three melee. Usually I beef up two of the melee fighters with Strength and Vitality equally then I have one more ranged fighter like Winfield to get a greater area of effect. The ranged fighter gets nothing but STR to dish out the damage. The magic users are whatever combinations I can get out of the skills. I usually have one healer (Ellis) with both Int and Vit so she can take damage and not get killed too fast and I loose my healer. The other two are on an almost straight diet of Int to be able to cause all the status effects. I try to use the girls I get in each generation, but I've been grooming Vira-Lorr to be a super mage.

It does affect HP Growth. The higher your VIT, the more of a boost you get in HP when you level up. You really only see it when you level.

Thats what I was referring to, I didn't really see a difference on the level up screen. Even such, I think my strategy of a straight extension rush on enemies have been doing great for now. Took me just 3 turns to kill off Jumbo -your mother is a classy lady- by the time I got there with no grinding.

Most probably you didn't saw it is because you needed more points for it to affect the stat, for example, i had to up 2 or 3 LUK before it raised my HIT on a character

Well, you're still super early in the game. Your level isn't high enough to really see a difference yet. I don't think it's a huge boost, but still, when you get to the later bosses, you'll be glad you at least put a few points into VIT.

We'll see. So far on Hard, its not looking that hard but it was a shock when I repeated some dungeon at level 11 and they threw some level 17 mobs at me that went down fairly quickly (2 turns again). I generally end up have only 2-3 turns before the fight is over and sustain minimum damage. VIT may become important later but my usual focus is the same as Cross Edge. Strike Hard and Strike Fast. Endgame there generally became Kill or Die so I'm treating this game the same way. Keeping my mages within position of each of my members to either heal or raise and at least extended to 2 members in case something happens.
