How is it going? I see the game is very limited release. I would have thought it would do great in a store like HOT TOPIC. Anyway, are sales meeting expectation? What's the likelihood or "target sales" for more shmups in the USA?
Please consider KETSUI and Deathsmiles II :)

I would like to know too! Also, glad I'm not the only one who wants to see Deathsmiles at Hot Topic. I did talk to one of the guys at Hot Topic and they said they don't sell anything electronics. But it would have been nice if they help promote the game since I really would like to support CAVE.

I remember someone asking this during the Aksys panel at AX(July 3). They said it was still too early to say.

I'd be interested in knowing if Aksys is satisfied with the sales of Deathsmiles. If they are then I would hope they would look into localizing more Cave shooters such as Deathsmiles II. Hopefully someone from the Aksys offices can at least say that much.
I've thoroughly enjoyed Deathsmiles myself, and would like to see more. The GameStop I had pre-ordered through had got six in total, which seems like more than other stores from reading around.

same here! Before, I never understood the draw of memorizing bullet patterns in shmups. I personally thought it was just too "hardcore" for me...now look at me, just finished 1cc with Rosa scoring 35,000,000,000 in MBL1.1.

damn DJ, that is beautiful!
I wish Cave and aksys would show a lil more love for the fans. If they accomplished this with just one game, I think they did a great job and should continue bringing these games over!

That's not really saying much, unfortunately. Remember that the population of the U.S. is more than twice that of Japan.
Although those numbers are better than expected.
