I never played the pc game yet so I don't really know. But in this case, they always have to cut out those types of scenes when porting to a console because there's kids that might see that and you know how parents will react... lol, I've got the pc game on my computer but I never played it

Anyways, the deal with the PS2 version has to do with two factors:
1. The voice actors. The high-profile voice actors they hired would never allow their work to be used in an H-game.
2. SCEJ doesn't allow that content anyways. There was no way they could have made a PS2 game that had H-scenes. Indeed, no game on a Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo console can have sex scenes, even in Japan. Only on the PC will that content fly.

As for Fate/Extra, I'm not sure if the licensing would be a huge issue. The game has nothing to do with the anime, so the only folks involved would be Type-Moon and the developer. Dunno how Type-Moon is about licensing their content internationally, though.

I don't really get what's going on with the premise of this game. Is it an alternate story or something? Because if you say there is the "same old Archer", I see Rin, Shinji (who was supposed to be dead), but the Saber and Caster in there are different, is this another universe or something?

It's an alternate timeline, yeah.
In this one, the year is 2032. The world started to run out of mana before the turn of the millennium; putting most magi out of business. (The alchemists at Atlas are sort of getting by).
It turns out there's an alien supercomputer cube thing called Moon Cell Automaton, which has been observing Earth for unknown reasons for thousands of years; it has activated to create a pocket cyber-realm on Earth itself. (The records for each Servant are drawn from MCA's archives.)
This time around, the war has not 7 contestants, but 128. However, it's fought in a series of elimination rounds; so you as a player only fight about 7 Servants (the odd 'extra' notwithstanding, if you pardon the pun); one per week.
Also, apparently the Masters' souls get digitised and put into an avatar (either the male or female protagonist, in the case of the player); said form does not necessarily match what the 'real' person looks like.
(For example, the Rin in this game is not the same one from F/SN; Tokiomi had a liaison with someone while away from Japan. I'm not sure if this Rin is his daughter, grand-daughter, or some other form of descendant. She is only made to look like 'our' Rin by the Grail system.)
I'm on day 3 of week 7 right now, myself.

I just finished the first run-through!
Tons of plot-related stuff I'd really need an English-text version to follow, but still pretty neat.
Oh, and it's probably not much of a spoiler to say this (I hope); but if/when you finish it, stay for the end of the credits!

I started my second run-through, with Saber this time. I'm already on week 2; week 1 seemed to go by pretty quickly.
Once you finish the game, you get the option to start anew with (most of) the equip items you purchased the last time around. You still have to level your Master and Servant up from scratch, though.

This week's blog update confirms that the JP PSN version is up; looks like it clocks in at 1.1 GB.
Also, Caster is surprised at something; possibly about some sort of poll regarding which costume is the best.

Unlimited Codes really isn't worth playing. The PSP version, at least. The PS2 version, which is import-only, is really fun if you have someone to play with.
