Chaos and disorder are threatening to rip apart the very fabric of Japanese society as planar rifts appear throughout the country. It is suspected that the Drexler Institute, the instigator of the Great War many years ago and creator of the Divine Celestial Weapon, is somehow involved.
In the midst of this confusion, a mysterious rumor arises, claiming the existence of wish-granting “Celestial Stones” within the chaotic planar rifts. As a result of these rumors, a number of individuals have converged on Japan in the hopes of obtaining one of these fabled stones – either to seal them away or to see for themselves if the rumor is true. Each person has their own reasons for seeking these rare and valuable stones, and they won’t let anyone stand in their way, be they foe…or friend.

Unfortunately no 360 release mentioned. PS3 owners, who haven't imported yet, have fun.
Signing for a 360 release.
what a stupid move from Aksys, PS3 only....wow, they will lose a lot of money from this...so many XBox 360 users will just ignore this game since it'll be PS3-only in North America.
COME ON AKSYS, it's been released on XBox 360 in Japan, there's not much to do now than translate and release it here. You already have the XBox 360 hardware dev. kit to work on!
Easy to understand, pretty sure most of the fighting game audience is on PS3

Amen to that Brother.
COME ON AKSYS. Lots of us were begging and pleading for this release. I'll bet quite a few of them, like myself, only own an Xbox 360. I don't have the money at this time to buy a PS3. Please give us the Xbox 360 version as well. I don't care whether it is disc-based or Xbox Live Marketplace, I. FREAKING. WANT. THIS. GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
most of the fighting game audience on PS3? are you dreaming? Between the XBox 360 and the Playstation 3, the X360 is the most popular one, hands down!
Remember how low the PS3 sales was at the beginning because of the high price tag, and it still follow them even nowadays! As i said, they already have everything to work on translating the game on X360 as they have the development hardware already. It's just plain stupid for Aksys to NOT release this on Xbox 360!
Plus i'm sure a lot of peoples imported the Japanese version on PS3 as this console is NOT REGION-LOCKED on games! But the XBox 360 is region-locked!!
Dunno dude, just remember seeing the NPD numbers and seeing Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat doing better on PS3. No doubt the effect is amplified when it comes to niche fighters.
You're right about the region-free effect though

in fact the only reason why i want a PS3 is because it IS region-free on games, so i could get all the Japan-only games i want and play them on the US console! But so far there are only a few games i would like to get, and they all got released stateside and PS3-only.
Sorry but games consoles doesn't sell for a single game (aka "Killer App") nowadays. It was true from the NES to the previous-gen consoles (Halo on Xbox, anyone remember?), but not anymore, it doesn't work that way now. So even for those few PS3 games, with all the other -your mother is a classy lady- games i don't want, it's not worth getting a PS3 for them.
And knowing Arcana Heart 3 got released on XBox 360 in Japan just make it a lot worse!
yes i want the 360 Arcana Heart 3
I'm disappointed that AH3 won't be a main event at EVO2K11. Hopefully if they do a good job at localizing the game, and possibly fixing the 4:3 issue, then it'll gain enough popularity for event organizers to change their mind. =\

4:3 Issue? Will I still be able to play the home version with my outdated not very widescreen TV?
I'm jumping in joy, despite my broken leg! W00t!
Any announcement on the price? No?
Is it too early to ask?
I am also curious on the price. A PS3 release is good for me. I do not have a 360 as I don't generally like American developed games. The system has too few exclusive Jp titles to warrant a purchase. PS3 has more exclusive JRPGs which are what I mainly play. The failure issues also turn me off as does the fact it cannot play most of the handful of regular XB games I would want. It would be nice if I had a more reasons to get an XB. Deathsmiles, Tales of Vesperia, Infinite Undiscovery, and Blue Dragon are not enough and I have yet to see any interesting exclusive titles announced for development or localization. :\

Well, I think they're TRYING to steer more for a PS3 release because the original game was originally only on the PS2 and now that 3 is finally available, they might be trying to be PS3-exclusive because of it. It doesn't mean it WON'T necessarily be a PS3-exclusive forever but for the moment, it is. Like for example, it looked like Hard Corps Uprising was going to be an XBLA-exclusive until the PS3 version surfaced the same day. I'm sure if Aksys has any control over it, it will probably be for both... however, I didn't take into account that DeathSmiles is a 360 exclusive... maybe its to even the playing field?
Anyway, any idea on the price range we're looking at for the download or the release date? I'd assume it will either be $15 or $30, depending on how obscure the title is.
I'd still love to see Arcana Heart on the PS3 though... even if they have to HD the original PS2 title to do it. (Hint, Hint!)
Yeah, I just thought of that mention about it being 480P... yeah, that might cause a problem for the PS3, considering it usually goes to 720P as a PREREQUISITE for most of its games. I'm not entirely sure if they can make 480P work on the PS3. But it will be interesting to see them try.
I just saw the trailer and it looks like that issue has been dealt with. It looks just like BlazBlue only it's an all-fem version. ~_^
