So, I've been waiting for a week or so for my pre-ordered copy of Blazblue Continuum Shift to arrive at my local EB Games, but still no word. They managed to supply only a few of the pre-orders, but I'm still waiting in the dust. Is there a reason why this is happening, and will there be more shipments to Canada?
Its too painful to bear for me to see a good portion of my friend list playing Blazblue whilst laughing at my face.

I pre-ordered at GameStop (yeah...) never got the calls, so I cancelled it and bought it somewhere else.
I'll blame Quebec (Always blame them) with their law to protect french language
So, in the end if there are no french manual or translation they can't shipped or sale them cuz it would be illegal. You probably heard probably heard some rumors that they hold the shipping at the custom.
Anyway, I like Aksysgames case/cover with just one language (english) in it, not like Smash Bros Brawl that you have like spanish, french and english everywhere and couldnt see a damn thing in the back

Quite surprised that the rumors turned out to be true, assumed it would go without a hitch this time as compared to Calamity Trigger before. My EB Games's retailer said that the shipment of Continuum Shift is "random" and therefore will not know the next shipment, if at all. They offered to give me back my money...in EB credits, not that I have something I want to purchase that can last me a long time as a good fighting game.

They didnt refund your pre-order O.O (in cash)
Where I am, I can take back my money whenever I want.

If I remember, pre-ordering allows them to put the money in a savings account to collect interest. Pre-order is just a means to make sure to know how many orders of the game to supply roughly upon release (since its not really a well known title as compared to SF4), since Blazblue is somewhat of a niche game. They did, however, generously told me that they have only a few (dozen) shipments of Starcraft 2, which is really good to knows. No, really.
Yeah, It's always better to go buy in person
But when you know that games like BB:CT LE, Agarest Wars or Fragiles Dreams will be very hard to find.
First thing you'll do is to pre-order it (Yeah EB, GS included).
But you're right EB and GS are always late, hell... sometimes they don't even receive their orders

I called gamestop on wednesday and they said it was held up at customs, I called friday and they said the box was sent to the wrong location T_T. Bestbuy and Futureshop didn't even know when it would arrive:( went to all 3 on saturday, still nothing:( called all 3 monday, civic holiday so no shipment:( I called BestBuy tuesday they said don't expect it till next week:( so I was in despair...
And it arrives this morning :O! (gamestop)
Im just happy its here, but a week is a little ridiculous, especially as I live like half an hour away from Toronto (Mississauga).
Not that Im blaming any one group, I just think all 3 parties could be a little more prepared for this kinda stuff (Aksys, UPS, Gamestop)

Wow, it kinda sounds like they're bsing you. Not that I'm surprised... Deathsmiles isn't even in EB games even though they said that they'd have it. It's already been a whole month and they don't have it. Sounds like they got something against Aksys or the games Aksys releases. T.T Same with CT, didn't even see it in shelves until like months after the game came out.

I'm still waiting for a copy to show up in Ontario -.-... It would help if someone could say when the copies will arrive or expected, not this "We don't have it." Well track it and find out? I mean seriously, its been a week, the DLC is even up and personally, I think Canadians should get something free from the DLC (Not Mu-12 cause you can easily get that in-game).
I'm not blaming Aksys, but they could be more demanding with their product. I'm tired of calling places for them to say "Dunno." Not to be rude but Gamestop and EB employees are clueless. A little customer service goes a long way.

Considering this happened with BB:CT too, I'm wondering what the issue is. Does someone at Aksys need to get spanked to get their logistics in order (?)
I have mine preordered at EB and my copy has yet to arrive. Same with every store in the area (Best Buy, Futureshop, HMV, etc).

Still nothing on my end, there are some stores (according to Gamestop's store tracking service), but unfortunately, the store that DO have it is about 92.5 miles away from where I live. I asked if they could have the game transfered to the nearby EB Games I live at since I did pre-order, but they refused, since they said they don't provide that kind of service.
I ordered it on amazon.ca, it was taking a long time before shipment (even though I had preordered weeks ago), then found it at the Microplay 2 mins away from hom. I bought it and returned home... amazon had shipped my order, at about the same time I bought it at the store, so to late to cancel. Now I have two, and will return one.

It looks like its starting to stock up when I checked the Gamestop store availability list, but it sure as hell took a long time to get here. And funny thing is, not a single word on the back nor instruction manual contained French. The hold up from before seems kind of...pointless, now.

Fgwar, they lied to you about limiting your pre-order money back as store credit. It is fully within their capabilities to cancel your pre-order and give you back cash (if you paid in cash, of course). The reason they don't want to is because it makes them look bad to have a negative pre-order on their record for the day.
Next time they try to pull that on you, ask for the District Manager's number. That'll shut them up right there and you can get your money back.
