Make sure you rate it PG-13 or lower in Gravatar, otherwise it won't show up here.    I don't play SF4 often anymore. But now that Championship mode has came out, what's everyone's ranking on that?

   I'm currently G2-D with 3200GP. I had an awesome Ryu vs Guile match I couldn't save as my recording because it was the first match, but did have a last match Ryu vs Ryu battle that I thought was almost equally as good that I saved.

   Ryu is overall better than Ken. The only thing good about Ken in comparison to Ryu is that he has a heavy Shoryuken which will literally destroy you if you're not blocking it. A target combo into Shoryuken as long as they aren't blocking and they're done for, or a target combo then Shoryuken into a EX Combo Cancel into another Shoryken.

   With Ken you'll want to put all your special into EX Shoryukens or EX Combo Cancels instead of his Shoryureppa. Since specials will sometimes make or break a match, that is the only reason Ryu is slightly better. A Shinku Hadoken leaves you unopened whenever you use it, and the Metsu Hadoken is easy to pull off on an enemy as long as you hit them with a combo before doing an EX Hadoken or hit them with a down heavy uppercut or low Shoryuken and use the Metsu Hadoken as soon as it connects and they'll receive every hit(if you miss with a Metsu you're screwed.) Both characters have Tatsumaki Senpuu Kyaku and this move is required against a Zangief(if you're too far against a wall, do a spin kick into the air and it'll carry you much further than a regular jump,) where Ryu's is much more damaging with the EX Tatsumaki Senpuu Kyaku as it's easier to land and more useful than Ken's and the original. When using it regularly you only want to use the low to fake the person out and then combo on them.

   Wow, thanks for the tips, I'm surprised anyone was willing to actually take the time to help, I think I may just stick with Ryu after all.
   The "tourny" I've been in every other weekend has been fun until I play the guy who rocks the Ken. Everytime he drills me. It probably doesn't help that I can't get away from playing Accent Core. I need to focus of SFIV for a minute just to improve enough to take down Mr. Ken.
   I find it funny that I have trouble beating someone at SFIV while GG is way more complicated/deep/whatever. I think it may be the fact that SFIV is more simple and that can make it more challenging in a way, I guess?

   it's a trade off, because it's so simple it's also very balanced gameplay wise.

    I wouldn't say SF4 is balanced. It's probably one of the most unbalanced in the series. Sagat is far more powerful in this version than any other. A good player with Sakura can do a combo that will take 3/4 of your HP and the one I fought the other day made it seem so easy to pull off after I got hit by the first hit.

    If Akuma, Gouken, Sagat, and Sakura are pulled out, then it'd be the most balanced. Sakura sucks and is probably one of the worst in the game when used by someone who doesn't know how to use her, but she is broken with someone that's good with her(Ryu can't even pull a combo that takes off half HP.) If Sakura's Ultra didn't take such -your mother is a classy lady- damage then I'm sure the player I was against would have took 100% health(I was owning the hell out of him too.)

    I would like to see this Sakura combo, didn't think this game had any that would take that much damage at once.
