I don't want to offend anyone but I want to know who really voiced Hazama in BlazBlue. He has the same actor in both games but it isn't Doug Erholtz. Doug Erholtz is a great actor but I have examined his voice throughly and have concluded taht they are not the same actor. If you have any information about this subject please feel free to share it. However, if you really believe it is Doug Erholtz please have cited evidence from a professional website or other contact. Also, certain websites such as; Wikipedia, Internet Movie Data Base, and verious others that can be edited by anyone should not be included as evidence. I am frustrated by not knowing his voice and I want to credit the real voice actor. I will say that if I am mistaken then I will remove previous statement and apologize. Let's find some evidence confirming or denying my belief.

I'm not exactly sure who the voice of the English VA is but I know the Japanese VA is the extremely talented Yuuichi Nakamura. I'm sure if you watch the "Credits" it will show you the list of voice actors. So just go through the English VA names and search the names.

English voice actors in video game dubs aren't allowed to be credited, apparently. Must be a Union thing.
Can't tell you how many times I've thought "OH JEEZ I KNOW I'VE HEARD THIS GUY BEFORE I JUST CAN'T PUT MY FINGER ON IT" only to end up screwed over at the end of the game. Thank god for IMDB.

Even if Hazama does not have the same voice actor between the two games, the alteration in voice works from what i've heard (only heard him in Noel's story in Calamity Trigger Portable). It helps give the impression that Hazama is getting so excited with his plan finally in motion that he isn't trying very hard to hide his identity.

Hazama's VA was better in CT imo. But if it the same VA then he did worse in CS. REMEMBER imo

Eeew, Hazama's VA in CT was hideous. He sounded so slow and dumb.

I don't get why everyone hates on Hazama's English voice. I mean yeah he sounds over-the-top and hammy, but that's how I always envisioned Terumi. Also he sounds a bit more subdued when he's not the final boss. Personally, I love his voice.

I don't hate it. I just like Hazama/Terumi's better in CT

Well, the english VA doesn't really do a bad job, it's that the japanese VA (Yuuichi Nakamura) does a GREAT job.
The japanese Hazama just has way more character.

I really like his English voice. The Japanese VA did amazing too. I Haven't found who does his voice yet. No offical source has reveal any information.

I was actually a huge fan of his English voice from CT. It was /creepy/ and good at all the right times.

Not ALL video game dubs exclude the actors; Tales of Symphonia had their actors listed. Sonic games have their actors for both versions listed. It probably is a union thing, but then again, I think plenty of non-union actors have been credited in the past. For example, Super Smash Bros. Brawl's actors; most of them were non-union, if I remember right.

I found it!!!! After searching for so long and being told I was wrong for over a year I finally found out who it was who played the English version of Hazama.
In Tales of Phantasia: The Animation he portrayed Klarth F. Lester and was credited as Jack Bauer.
My search for additional information on him has not gone well because he has the same name as the Protagonist from the TV series "24". Nevertheless, if you listen to both Hazama and Klarth you can hear that it is the same person. I corrected it on wikipedia but who knows how many people will believe me before it is changed back. At least I know who it was now and finally have a weight lifted from my shoulders.
Thank you for reading. Keep smiling everyone.

I absolutely LOVED Hazama's english voice. He pretty much made Continuum Shift for me. I always sorta questioned if Doug Erholtz was really the voice actor because he sounds nothing like Hazama in any of his other roles, but I just chalked it up to him being talented, I guess. How did the information that Doug Erholtz voiced Hazama even start spreading anyway? It's been recognized as true for so long, I figured it had to have some kind of legitimate source.
I'd definitely be interested in finding out more about this "Jack Bauer" if he really is the one who voiced Hazama. Cristina Vee is completely open and well-known for voicing Noel/Nu/Lambda, so I don't see why it should be such a secret who voiced Hazama.
Can anybody post a clip of him in Tales of Phantasia? Don't really feel like watching the whole show looking for one random character.

@goldenwitch:
IMDB (Internet Moive Database) were the first to post that Doug Erholtz was the voice and despite their ususal authenticity I was skeptical too.
As for "Jack Bauer", it may be that he is not a traditional voice actor and only takes on voice roles occasionally. I'm not sure of course but since their is so little information on him that might be the case. It could be that he uses this name as an alias because of legal issues that sometimes arise in working for companies outside their tradtional company.
If you put in a search for Tales of Phantasia: The Animation in the video section you should find either clips or the whole episode. He starts halfway through episode 1. When I first heard it I thought "That voice sounds so familiar." Ironically I happened to be playing BlazBlue: Continuum Shift 2 on my PSP only a few minutes prior. And when I connected them I literally gasped.
Sorry I can't post clips but try finding episode 1 and skipping to about halfway through. You'll know him when you hear him :)
Hope this helps. Keeps on smiling.

Thanks for the direction, found him pretty fast in Tales of Phantasia. Yeah, that is DEFINITELY him. That smexy voice is so distinct. Why doesn't he do more roles?!

Glad I could help. I don't know why he doesn't do more voice over. Could be that he is mainly a stage or film actor and doesn't venture into games or anime often. He has such a unique voice that is so addictive.
If I can I would like to contact him somehow to ask him some questions but I cannot find a profile on him due to the name being so similar to the Jack Bauer of "24". Hopefully I will get the chance someday.

*UPDATE*
While I was looking around and playing some old games and I finally discovered the name behind Hazama's voice actor.
Erik Davies
I have confirmed it by looking up other games and anime he used that name under. Sure enough, it's him. Since he has used this name more often I speculate that it could be his real name. Either way, Finally got the name. YEAH!
