Yea, I didn't see a release date for Valken, either. Just the TGS dates and the one for Machine Amusement, or whatever.
Subs: Platinum

"the hidden battle between Ragna the Bloodedge and the Black Beast"
Are you sure we're not talking about Bloodedge the hero and not Ragna?
Although the way the Blazblue universe is, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if Bloodedge really WAS an alternate timeline Ragna.

So the TGS is the same four days as AWA...

Given that pretty much all signs seem to be pointing to this, its really not surprising at all. That is, if you could make heads or tails of the story. I'm pretty sure Mr. Bloodedge there had a first name and it would just throw everything out of loop if they told him his name was Ragna. Like how Hakumen is Jin and Tsubaki died during that timeline.
I know the new arcade version isn't confirmed, but I really hope they don't do to BlazBlue what they did to Guilty Gear. As much as I love the Guilty Gear series, they just kept releasing updates of Guilty Gear: XX.
Now, there are only two BlazBlue games (non-spin off) out now, so perhaps I'm jumping the gun.

I'm content if they do an arcade version that coincides with the supposed rebalance patch we get.
Although given that the next game will be in Ikaruga and will likely be a true Blazblue 2, there is the possibility of what you're saying.

I'm glad there isn't a story to Valkenhayne. I would prolly just consist of him getting tea and crumpets for Racheal, and kicking Jin's ass after he warps him out of Racheal's presence.

See this is something i've been wondering. How is BB CS not a true sequel? Yes it reuses a lot of assets, but it's also an entirely new arcade mode, entirely new 20 hour story, massively altered mechanics (Gurad Break vs. libra, timing changes, balence changes, break burst, usable astrals, etc.), 6 new characters when all is said and done. Legion mode is here, Challenge mode is here, score attack's new unlimited hakumen is a right -your mother is a classy lady-.
Keep in mind that we're talking fighting games here, how much more can really change between games without making it too different? About the only thing a game set in Ikaruga will bring us is some new art.

Well, it's a sequel in a different increment than, say, the KoF series. This one's more along the lines of Guilty Gear X and Guilty Gear XX. New characters, new story, but not much change in the manner of the fighting system and the music and graphics.

I Guess the problem I have is that a lot of people have compared this to SSFIV (in a negative light), and honestly i feel the additions here were far more substantial, if for no reason other the the incredibly deep story mode. To me this feels like a proper sequel. Maybe not as gushing with new content as it could be, but certainly more than say, Crackdown 2.

It's bs that ppl compare it to SSFIV, because all capcom did was add characters to the SFIV system as to where BBCS is a new system all together with more additions than in CT.
We all know capcom re-releases stuff over and over until they've beaten their own dead horse and that's why they are still around...

I think the reason people make such a fuss over Super Street Fighter IV is because they added a lot of new characters (well, 2 new characters, 8 we've seen before), as opposed to Continuum Shift, which advertised only 3 new characters. While quality is always better than quantity, not many can appreciate that.
Even when Calamity Trigger was released, the fact that it had only 12 characters was considered by the average reviewer to be a big strike against it.

Well then we get a big bonus because once there is 30 characters we will all know the game so well, the rest of the ppl online will all be noobs. ^_^
What has been confirmed so far about Valkenhayn? Is he really coming in September or was that just fan speculation? Also, Jason Paul your avatar is indeed awesome. Now your number increased to 13.
On the Famitsu website (it's pretty far down, but it's there somewhere), they mention that Valkenhayn is going to come out "Late September". One of the designers also said in an interview that Valk will be playable at TGS, and they want the Makoto hype to die down before releasing Valk. So he'll most likely be coming out Sept 21-28.
