It's official. Cave is bringing DoDonPachi DaiFukkatsu Ver 1.5 for Xbox 360. Here's the proof:

The standard edition is hitting store shelves now so I don't think it sold too poorly. A better question would be, has it met Aksys' expectations?

Even better question. How much is Cave being paid not to make the obvious choice and put their stuff on PS3 as well? Jerks...

Hell, the graphics look like they'd even work on Wii...

There is NO reason to make sh** 360 exclusive. Slapping down a PS3 version as well will male you MUCH more money. So either you're getting paid a lot of money by Micro$oft, or Bill Gates is a better hooker than Makoto.

This game is so good there's no way it isn't going to get a US port. The question is whether Aksys will do it now, or wait to do it later.

I'm still skeptical based on Cave's past, but at the same time they seem to be going all out to please fans at the moment so anything is possible. Considering the iPhone port is getting a US release, maybe we'll get lucky and get a US 360 one.

Nooooooooooo let's not turn this into a PS3 vs 360 fight. CAVE are notorious xbox fanatics, at this point there is nothing you can do about it.

Aksys I love you guys but in a way you are responsible for Cave putting their little region-free experiment on hold. Deathsmiles was perfect, but we don't need a limited edition all the time. Just the game will do!! (will it ever)

Had to register simply to express my wishes for Aksys to bring this to US shores, along with the Muchi Muchi Pork/Pink Sweets bundle if possible. Apparently DeathSmiles has managed to sell around 50k copies, which is pretty damn good for both a pretty niche genre and one featuring goth lolis on top of that. So there is most definitely a shmup market in the US that would love to have these games.

People love teh lolis. It's just a matter of being man enough to admit you love sugarcoated cuteness.
