I wouldn't mind a PSN release, but I'd prefer a hard copy.
The only thing that's really important to me, is to keep the japanese voices, because the cast is amazing.

I totally agree! The Japanese voice actors are very spectacular, especially Beatrice :D

Wow, talk about fan supporting power. Even if NISA, Atlus, or even Aksys tries to make a license from 07th Expansion's new product, they'll probably neglect it considering they didn't know a fangroup unofficially translated the PC VN to begin with. Hopefully they can overlook it.An unofficial translation of the PC version and an official translation of the PS3 version are two very different things. Witch Hunt themselves say they hope a company will translate the PS3 version as they are unable to do so. They also said they would be willing to donate their PC script if it helped. But, really, the PS3 version is what everyone wants now. Aside from the story itself and the music, it's completely different from the translated PC version.
I don't think the fact that the PC version was translated by fans will really matter at all. That would be like an anime company not bringing an anime officially to America because there are fan translations of, not even the anime itself, but the novel it was based on. Because with all the new art, CGs, voice acting, change in format format and whatever other changes that were made to the PS3 version, you can't even compare it to the PC version.

Commenting not as an employee of Aksys Games, but as a huge fan, Umineko No Naku Koro Ni is amazing!I would love to see this localized myself :D
Always nice to hear. Now we just need to get this said as an employee of Aksys Games. haha

And remember guys, if you want to see more visual novel type games being released stateside by us, be sure to take the time to fill out our Otome survey seen here:
And don't forget the awesome DS visual novel horror adventure game, Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors comes out on November 16th, so be sure to show your support for it and the genre by picking up a copy if you can :D! (and you can receive a watch too, as seen in the game, if you pre-order at GameStop.com, online orders only :) )

Of course I'll play 999! It's written by one of the writers of Ever17 so it should be HARD sci-fi (being the same style as Infinity series too :D).
I already filled the survey :) Good to see some new support around here~

I took the survey and I am definitely picking up 999.
I would really love for to Aksys get into bringing Visual Novels here. After playing the two Blazblue games, I'm convinced they are the perfect company to do so. The story mode in Blazblue might as well be a Visual Novel with fighting breaks.
Umineko would definitely be amazing in the hands of Aksys. I think I'm going to shift my focus to trying to get Aksys to localize Umineko instead of NISA. I own more Aksys games than I do NISA games anyway.

Yeah, OT for a sec, but Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors is a really great game! Definitely worth picking up.
But then again, I may be slightly biased since it was my project ;) haha

Oh, I don't think it's bias. I knew I had to have that game the moment I saw it. It sounds right up my alley. I hope it sells really well and leads Aksys to consider more Visual Novel type games in the future.
Like, if I may, Umineko. :D

Ironically enough, I started reading through that 100+ page thread over at the NISA forums and have been following the one at the ATLUS forums haha
Always great to hear what the fans think.

Ah, so this is the series that these comics come from...

I have no idea what they are referencing most of the time, but they're hilarious.
Okay, this series has my support now.Since no one has actually mentioned what this series is about, here's a wiki link:

We won't give up until we are dead or Umineko PS3 is localized! >:D
Although now that I am here, I'll definitely say I'd much rather Aksys got to it before anyone else might. Hopefully, as a company, Aksys notices us and decides to consider it.

On rare occasions, a popular game released must have the anime adaptation to go with it. But I don't wanna have Aksys bear with that because they haven't licensed an anime before.

We always love to hear what our fans think and for them to send us their suggestions.
So feel free to post about things you want to see released or via our support email. We definitely take the things our fans ask for into consideration. :)

Really? :S Honestly I think we should try to encourage as many people to consider localizing this as possible. :(

The anime is based on the Visual Novel, so it's just an adaptation. It met with mixed reviews anyway, as a lot of fans of the Visual Novel didn't like what was done with the anime. Aside from the voice cast, that is. Everyone loved the voice acting done in the anime. Which is, perfectly, the same cast that is in this PS3 version.
So, nobody needs to worry about the anime. You can watch it if you want, but it's a totally separate issue.

O_O 'kaaay.
Anyways, some people aren't coming here btw. For example, where's Keriaku? I think we should post in the NISA forums how to register because it's not the usual way after all.
