Yeah, but those patches from 7th's Cross site don't seem to work properly to install for some people, but at least there's always manual patches from the Ougon Wiki.
And out of curiosity, Willard seems awesome with his SP cancel ability.

If Umineko got released here, I don't know what I would do to contain my excitement! (I was shocked when i saw 96 pages of posts for an Umineko thread....I guess that just goes to show how popular it is...) I played the demo for the original visual novel, the art grew on me after a while, but the story was so captivating, and you get so much more detail compared to the anime! I'm a sucker for mysteries, and Umineko fits that so well! I haven't read past the first one yet, i still need to read the other 7 or however many there are, but since I can't get my hands on them for a decent price/ find a patch for the PS3 versions, I wanna place my trust and hopes in Aksys, and see if they will really release it over here!

Well, I wouldn't be too particularly fond of blackmail either lol. That said, you can't really blame them. Visual novels are hit and miss in the US at least, though they are getting a bit of a market.

Not to mention that's assuming NISA wants to localize Umineko. Which they don't. Or at least they didn't want to in 2009 when this whole movement started. Pretty sure Aksys doesn't want to either but that doesn't mean I'll stop praying for a miracle~
I don't know... looking at Hakuoki and 999, I can still picture Aksys being the ones localizing Umineko.

Those are much smaller projects, though. Single games on a handheld. As opposed to two HUGE PS3 games. Umineko is a lot of work for potentially not enough payoff. Which is why I doubt they want it.
