Place fist here, bro.well I placed sixth in the university's tournament. I was not prepared to use a fight stick, though I will say that Arc had a nice spread for prizes. I will do better next year.

Mainly because comparing the stick to the control pad stick, the stick felt stiffer and made it hard for me to dash, which since Makoto wasn't available since they were playing out of the box nor wanted to spend the 5 bucks for her unlock I played Noel. Which with who I play a lot of rush down and combo-ing with her drive. Thankfully there's the tournament next year so .. hopefully either they'll have Makoto unlocked, will have Luna unlocked and I'll be good with her by then OR I'll have more chances to work with stick since I think that's what they plan to use again.

If I did control pad I woulda rocked out loud harder then I did. Especially with Makoto. Worst of all though was the fact that this guy who won was a Tager user. Nothing wrong with that except he is actual competitive tournament worthy. With everyone he fought he perfected and DD'd with Genesis Emerald Tager. Against people who either: A) never played the game before or B) Those of us who have, but had no idea how to use the stick OR had been allowed time to practice before the tournament to get better acquainted. And where we were playing, had a bunch of character posters. Like: Tager, Mu, Lambda, Rachel, Jin ect. Well our MC said "help youself" and Tager users GF snatched 3 of the posters before the MC said go without him noticing and her bf made off with the Tager poster. =\ it felt lame. I didn't even get to snatch Lambda, Rachel or Mu.

All these companies are starting to piss me off because it seems like they've taken this stance to pleasing consumers: "Fans will still be fans whether we go out of our way to service fans or forget they even exist, and if they turn their backs on us for not servicing them then they weren't loyal fans to begin with, so we don't have to please or service fans at all and we still get their dollar! We don't care if they LIKE us or what we do as long as we get the $$$ from them! So let's coddle the casual consumers instead, the ones who are on the fence and need the services and pleasing!"
