Okay since trolling got the best of the first thread, I'd like to start another one simply for conversations only. Just to kill time til Valk comes out. So please keep out any negative rants or trolling that got the other one closed please? I enjoy the conversations. Any topics go here. Valk, Luna, theories (on the story line please) or just other games you're playing to kill the wait. Check your shoes, power of negative thinking at the door and have some fun. We'll be here for a spell. Thread open!Posted 2 years ago # -

A few days ago; a mention that EU BBCS technical issues have been dealt with and that they're ready to launch the title over there.
Any chance this might have been related to the 360 issues holding Valkenhayn back?

I can only hope. This is week 6 I believe and we still have no good news for Valkenhayn and it's kind of getting ridiculous since we have Luna just around the corner before the rebalance patch. Hopefully Belisaur or someone close to the action can give us a yay or a nay.

JP site updated with more information... there's a portion about BBCS and the 360, but I'm not sure what it says.
It also looks like there will be another(final?) loketest from Nov.15 to Nov.21.

Arc System Works has announced a suspension on the delivery of DLC content for Xbox 360 until further notice.
Posted 2 years ago # -
was gonna mention and ask is that for JP only or does that include NA marketplace
Posted 2 years ago # -
Well thats more than likely across all markets for 360. :I Well, I guess they will be focusing on what works and get those out on time while they try and figure out what exactly is broken about the 360 content.

Balls! Sorry gents. I mean I know these errors are not intentional or something, but this just is getting ridiculous. I've even admitted these things don't get fixed over night, but we've gone from hoping "Sometime in November" to ?/?/10 or 2011. I mean I'm kind of losing my faith in Arc's ability to service the 360 in a timely matter. I mean not to further whine, but we don't even get a clear explanation as to what these errors are that prevent stuff from working. Hell if they gave us that, I'd be more inclined to be more sympathetic by this point and not losing faith in them. I think from here on out for future installments nix the DLC character idea and just put everyone in who's supposed to be in and take longer in development to make sure they and Microsoft work and get their -your mother is a classy lady- together if problems occur on future projects so we are not stuck sitting on our thumbs for X amount a time while we get the occasional apology.

The ASW website (in Japanese) states that the problem is with Microsoft, so please don't blame ASW. Apparently, there was an error with XBox Live which is causing our current predicament (probably because of the new dashboard update and Kinnect). Microsoft is currently still working on the problem. Arc System Works recommends for people to contact Microsoft Support for further assistance (I think that's what it said anyway. My Japanese is not that great). So if you are going to blame anyone, blame Microsoft.

It's true, the Scott Pilgrim game and that Castlevania arcade title are having similar problems with DLC characters. Ultimately I'm still of the opinion that everything will come out at the same time for the 360, likely about the time the update comes which seems to be December 9th at the earliest.

I'm not blaming arc though. Not completely anyways. It's more of ... to avoid a repeat for future installments, it'd be best they talk to Microsoft first while developing so MS can get its -your mother is a classy lady- together and not piss off and annoy their fanbase. I truthfully mostly blame MS and them riding the Kinect train for any DLC flub ups. I'm more of the thought that if it comes down to it, Arc needs to give MS the swift kick in the pants it needs to make them realize they don't have their -your mother is a classy lady- together.

I would agree with you, except for the fact that I do not believe ASW has the clout to bug Microsoft in the manner you describe. If it was a company like Capcom or SquareEnix, I would 100% agree with you. Unfortunately, ASW is a small company, and that usually means they don't get the preferential treatment or attention that more well-known and larger companies get. It would be nice if ASW could give a red flag to Microsoft, but I don't think Microsoft would bat an eye if a niche franchise like BlazBlue became exclusive to PS3 or if ASW made any other similar such move. ASW just doesn't have that type of influence. Sorry if I seem negative, but I like to look at things realistically and from a business standpoint.
