I'm sure it has been asked before, but I'm not going to read 6 pages of stuff. The save data that was from the first game, will it give us anything special when we start ZERO or will it just transfer over to that door/gate way deal? Heck, does anything tranfer over to ZERO from the first game?

I know these particular few questions of mine most likely will be overlooked, since im being nervey by even asking them here to begin with but im goona do it anyways :)
Is Aksys perhaps contemplating doing Agarest War 2? Or is it,as of now,not an issue Aksys will comment apon?
Im pretty sure its the second one but for future a Ps3 disk option would be loverly...I detest downloadable games....Though I am giving in and getting Record of Agarest War shortly...My research on that motivated me to buy Zero to be honest^^
And I like the "soul breed"system its not sometthing often found in games and I rather enjoy its possibilites...QUIG :Hope this helps
If the players have Clear Data from the first game,it is possible to load it and unlock the Door to the Future after some progress. Through the door, players can access the maps from the first game and unlock items and characters from the first game. Leo, his descendants, the heroines, Ellis and Dyshana are unlocked free. However, other playable characters must be downloaded from the PlayStation StorePosted 1 year ago # -
Thanks, Wrath.
This is cool, but it sucks for me. I made it up to the 4th Generation and then got the YLoD and my HDD did not carry the data over to the new PS3. Guess I'll have to play through it all again to get the cool stuff... This is going to be a long summer of gaming. 8)

Ive heard of YLoD and honestly it dosent sound fun and I get paranoid of it still lol
I plan to play Zero first so even after I play RoAW I figured I can just do the whole save data thing at any point later since I doubt it impacts Zero's story to any great degree and while its a nice touch to replay value its not something im overly worried about doing...Just have fun with it even though id be irked about it if it happend to me^^ If it makes you feel better when I first started playing vidio games I didnt know you needed a save card to save the game...imagine my surprise when I constantly had to start at the begining and then realised I was stupid:) at least you had a good reason to start over!
And your welcome though I just copy pasted from the wiki page for it :)Posted 1 year ago # -

It's okay, I kind of suspected this was probably going to be the case. Then again I work retail so I am acutely aware of business operation stuff. It kind of sucked not being able to understand what they were saying in Japanese during battles. I hope they will at least attempt to translate that, either via subs or some other means. I mean, I love the Japanese voices but it would be kind of nice to know what they're actually saying.
As for playing ROAW, I still intend to FINISH Agarest 1... I want to be ready for 2 next year. And considering that Zero is a PREQUEL, it should only make me WANT to finish 1 so I can fully enjoy the prequel story.
Zero IS still a PREQUEL, right?

If you're going to do a Dakimura pillowcase for this one, can it be actual body pillow sized? :)Seriously, though, extras I'd REALLY want are a Full-sized hardcover artbook, a soundtrack collection, and maybe a strategy guide. Nobody makes strategy guides for games that actually NEED them anymore...
Just think of how big a strategy guide for this game ALONE would be. Yikes... I shudder to think what the one for 1 and 2 would be like. It's not just the battles, but it's ALL of the customization and stuff that needs to be covered too. I wonder if the first one even HAS one available. It sure would be nice... I'd LOVE a FREE strategy guide too, but I don't even know if they have them even thought out yet. The first one REALLY could've used one... I know that for sure.
Getting strategies from GameFAQs.com is REALLY annoying... especially when it comes to THIS game... it's all about the particular level the weapons are and that's about it. No strategies on the fights, the story, nothing. Whoops I meant the first game. :P
I could get more information on Growlanser 2 and 3 than I can out of their strategies for Agarest War. It's really quite maddening.
Hey, Beli, IS there a strategy guide available for Agarest War 1 yet? If not, PLEASE pass the word that we NEED one for the first game too? Thank you in advance! ^_^

Thank you in advance! ^_^There isn't an official strategy guide, so far as I know. I can pass along the word that you'd like one, but to be perfectly honest I wouldn't get my hopes up. :( If it was going to happen, it probably would have happened when the game came out. Selling a strategy guide for a niche game that game out nearly 2 years ago probably wouldn't really be a good financial decision for the company that made the strategy guide. On the other hand, the wikia that Rena linked you to should be pretty good. I know for a fact that some of our testers on Agarest contributed to it, and they're some of the most knowledgeable people on the planet about that game.

Would like a persons opinion...
I know you can use the clear data from the first Game, but considering the story takes place before the first game...
Should I beat the first game, or play Zero first and then the first game..

It actually takes data from the first game, to import into the new game ,not sure if it works bothways though.

How can you take a character from the first game and import it over to a PREQUEL where it's supposedly BEFORE EVERYTHING that happened in the first game? That just doesn't make any sense at all to me.

For the descendants of Leo that you get for having a clear save from RoAW, does it take into account which version of them you got during your playthrough of RoAW or do you just get a standard version of each?

That would've been a cool feature, though. :3
