Doubly agreed. I'd even shell out a buck or two for that to be the intro. While they're at it, give us our Pirate Valley Girl Nu for an announcer voice.

It'd be nice if one of the updates made Makoto, Valkenhayn and Platinum playable in story mode as well as adding the new opening. While the default opening is nice, I don't really like the song. That, and I'm a sucker for Asami Imai... The only new system voice I'd buy would be hers, if they pulled her to do one.

Well if Arksys did make them playable in the story mode in this patch... Then it wouldn't be a patch at all; it'd be another 2.5 sequel added in and there's not much point when they're already making them fully playable in the next game alongside more characters. Besides, they would've needed more than just these past months to remake everything to fit them in and have a fight here and there. Lots of work that isn't necessary that will just raise further question within the plot. Though I am hoping the op comes with the patch. =/

Eh, I made a mistake... I meant arcade mode. I know that making a story mode for those three would be a tremendous undertaking. My bad.
What I think would be cool would be to have them available in arcade mode (almost typed story mode again, I'm dead tired) and legion mode. Only having the new characters available in online, training and that uber hard mode I can't beat with anyone except Lambda is kind of meh... Especially if the characters are 8 dollars each... I don't really care if their endings are completely omitted or as generic as the other's... Or like the Blazen comic's depiction. I just wanna play with Makoto in a different environment. I still get my ass handed over to myself in online whenever I pick her.
Oh, that awesome intro as well. It's too good to be left to the arcades only.

Hmmm, while looking around the Arc System Works site, I came upon their blog and found that they have three images from the new opening. They're rather small, but would be nice for a cellphone or PSP wallpaper. I already set Makoto's as my PSP's new wallpaper, and considering how much I like her, it's a keeper for a long time.

They are going to be availible to play in arcade lol. The patch isn't just for rebalancing all the characters but also allows them to be playable in arcades, all the dlc's including Mu.

Oooh, coolio video the song in it was really good... I agree with everyone else that it should be patched in or as a DLC, but maybe they should wait until Platinum gets released...

Whoa. There's some really awesome fanart in there. I wish I could have entered, had I known how. But really, such great art is inspiring.
Regarding the inclusion of the DLC characters to Arcade mode, I really hope it comes to pass. That'd completely make me buy the rest of the characters, as I have only bought Makoto, since she's a fun bag of cute and awesome.

Well I first saw it on CDjapan that it was being released on the 5th, but then I just went to check and 2 sites had it on 15th so I'm guessing it's the 15th. Kind of makes sense I guess cuz OST's usually are released a few days-week later after the release of anything; anime and games alike.

Awesome thank you for that. I appreciate that. Now this might be pushing it, but would you or anyone else know the track listing? I have a fairly good idea for a few: Alexandrite, Howling Moon, Active Angel and the new opening theme, but elsewise I can't think what they may be. Probably new vocal versions of character stage themes? If so who do you think will be doing vocals?

I dont think anyone does but my guess is the same as yours: Shinsou(The song of the new op),Alexandrite, Howling Moon, Active Angel, Sword of Doom, and maybe some others performed by the voice actors. For sure Noels v/a will be their and Tsubaki, and maybe the v/a of Ragna and Jin since they didnt take part in the last accord. Maybe Hazama will be in it too since his v/a is pretty popular. Idk, Im just basing my guesses on the popularity of the v/a.

I was thinking about this and I thought that maybe they wouldn't have Tsubaki or Noel sing unless it was "Memory of Tears" for a duet. Else wise they've already sang their themes. Jin or Ragna would be good as would Hazama. I was thinking maybe Luna would sing .. I have a hard time imagining Makoto's sing mainly because I'm not quite sure how you'd match up lyrics to her song. Perhaps Tao.

Well I wouldn't be surprised if Noel, Tsubaki and Ragna will be singing in Accord 2 cuz they have more publicity compared to the rest of the cast. Kakihara Tetsuya(Jin) is probably most likely to sing in it as well as Hazama's. But I guess you might be right, since Platinum's v/a is starting to get some publicity due to the dlc so there's a chance that she will sing in her theme. Makoto... I have no idea lol. But unless you've watched Bururaji spring raid special, it kind of sounds like she can do a song.

I have not watched actually, I'll make it a point to do so now though :P. Well if she can fit lyrics into Alexandrite I'm all for her singing Makoto's theme. As for Trinity, I kind of hope if she does sing, it'll be a trio performance alternating between Luna, Sena and Trinity. Kinda like Ranma's Voice Actress did for the song "Love Letter from China" flipping between Ranma and Ranma-chan.
