WORLD
World
Welcome to the country where Fae are more than just a fairytale.
Grand Albion is ruled by the only Purefae, Queen Tia, and in its capital city, Rowan, is where our story begins.
The country is led by the Purefae Queen, and is protected by the five nobility families of Demifae lineage.
There’s a clear class system in place: with the nobility in the upper class, the middle class, the working class, and then the lower class. Within the lower class, you find the Mingles, which have become the targets of discrimination…
The Races
Purefae
Fae of pure lineage born in Tir na nOg.
It’s said that Tia is the only Purefae in existence on the surface world.
Humaines
The original inhabitants of the surface world. A majority of them belong to the middle class and they live a more prosperous life than the mingles.
Demifae
The demifae refer to those of fae lineage, possessing strong fae abilities. This group makes up the upper class.
Mingles
A disparaging term for those who are deemed weaker than the demifae.
They don’t carry full fae traits (warped wings, unable to hide their wings, etc.) and despite their appearance, they possess weak abilities.
The Five Houses
The families revered by the public as the descendants of the five Purefae leaders who founded the country.
The Five Houses are composed of demifae who conceal their strong abilities.
House Bernstein
The descendants of the Sylph, who possessed the power to control the wind.
They were said to have protected Albion from Fremdeland’s invaders, and created storms that sank their armada. The Queen placed heavy trust in this family.
House Ward
The descendants of the Cu Sith, the most loyal family to the Queen.
It’s said they gathered information and carried out assassinations, and showed no mercy towards enemies of the Queen.
However, they have a strong sense of solidarity, and are deeply affectionate towards their group.
House Lindel
The descendants of the Puca, who were the Queen’s chamberlain.
They weren’t originally part of the Five Houses, but they were brought in 15 years ago. Differing from the other families, their powers and abilities aren’t known.
House Creswell
The descendants of the Spriggan, who were talented at stonework.
They were able to harness the strength that ore possesses, and played a role in defending the country. However, their political influence has fallen in recent days.
House Sullivan
The descendants of the Will-o’-Wisp, who possessed the ability to control blue flame.
Rumor has it that they had the power to confuse humans and control the dead. However the true nature of their abilities hasn’t been confirmed.
